Notes: His Last Bow; (with due respect to Sir A.C. Doyle). This is the last major steam toy from Berhnard Tucher. The company ceased operations on Dec. 31, 2009, my machine certificate was signed on the 16th. The figurines are much busier on this flying boat than the T-461 made earlier. Theres a drummer to keep up the pace, and a pair of rowers who paddle like crazy! We have, as always our man at the wheel and the stoker below decks to keep the Wilesco D-6 boiler firing the D-15 vertical engine. An electric engine gives the oarsmen a break, and they paddle at a much more leisurely pace. Although my edition number card say out of 100 pieces, less than 35 were made. The exact number is kept by Tucher & Walther to prevent forgery. A fitting tribute to a most creative toy shop. Vielen Dank.
